PC HELP ANTIVIRUS

First of all.. im sure there are some other guru's in here when it comes to security for a computer. personally i been doing it for many years ..i have a ad in the paper and i also pay my little nephews to post my flyer's in gas station bulletin boards, restaurants, telephone poles, etc ..this is a side business i do to make extra funds to help fund my tech toys lol...but seriously i been doing it for 15 years i believe now...so im pretty well seasoned i guess you can say.

Anyways.. each year i experiment with various programs to secure my computer up nice and neat.. along with customer's computers. One of my good friends that lives in Ohio works for a firm that go to various schools, companies, institutions, etc and secure their networks.. he takes classes year round to keep up on the latest best software for security..he is the one that told me about Avira and a few others, not that is what "they" use for their clients but personally he said it was damn good for being free....and from my testing Avira Free Edition is one heck of a anti virus program from what i could see myself so he was pretty spot on with recommending it.. Microsoft security essentials is just icing on the cake for added security and its rather good too..with both working as one..its a very nice security configuration for any computer.

Two simple "free" programs you can use are as follows...

1. Avira Anti-Virus Free Edition
http://www.avira.com/en/avira-free-antivirus (make sure you get the "free" anti-virus) edition of Avira. Its all you need..well that and the following..

2. Microsoft Security Essentials
http://www.microsoft.com/security_essentials/ now i run a legit version of windows 7 so it does scan before download to make sure you got a legit copy..i dont know if it works on pirated copies..i havent kept in touch with the pirated versions so i dont know but if your pirated capy can download from Windows Updates fine..then i see no reason why you wont pass this quick check before being able to download Microsoft Security Essentials.

Anyways.. download both of those programs..get rid of any other old anti virus programs you been using or was pre-installed when you bought your pc..those pre-installed security suites are usually garbage and bog down a computer anyways.

After you get both downloaded..install Microsoft security essentials first, get any updates for it...then run a quick scan..after that install Avira and get updates and run a quick scan with that as well.

After that..you will be good to go..

Now as i stated im sure there are other people in here that very good with anti virus setups, security configs,etc..so im just sharing what i use for myself and my customers "IF" you have had issues before. As im sure some of you know..it really boils down to the kind of surfing habits you do and the kind of cracks and hacks you install when using pirated software..that and porn are the two biggest culprits in infecting a system..if your already careful with what you install.. you probably keep a pretty clean system.

I just had to do a fresh install of windows 7 on one of my pc's so i figured i'd share my tip with you guys..
